2nd Place in her first science fair!

So Tiffany won 2nd place in her first science fair! We are so happy for her. Her teacher said she did great presenting it and that she sounded like a teacher up there. So glad to hear all this.

We found out that Play-Doh and Tire Slime are both good fire retardants even after setting for two weeks to dry. The tire slime stays wet, and the play-doh just stops it.

So there you go, those were the best things we found. And as for the Phos-Chek we got to play with, of course, that was the best retardant. But most of us dont have that stuff laying around the to test. We were very, very lucky to get to play with it. Thank you Mr. Matousek!

Halloween

Tiffany was a Dragon Fairy this year. The costume was really cute. We went to a friends house for trick-or-treating and a party. Had a great time :-)
Mike was Gothomist Prime (I dont have pictures, WAhhh), and I was a Mime Bride's Maid, LOL. I was suppose to be dead, . . . but the makeup didn't turn out right so I was a Mime, LOL.

Now that the year is almost over I am getting all excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!

Play-off's!

Tiffany's team, the Purple Sparklers, have made it into the playoffs!! We are so excited.

Wow, So much. . .

Well, today I realized the year is almost over, Tiffy's soccer is almost over, Everything is changing! I have even found myself realizing I Need a hobby!! So I am going to try and start scrapbooking. Which is a hobby I have tried to pick up before but to no avail. So everyone wish me luck. I want to try to get one set of christmas pictures done before christmas this year! And for anyone that knows me, that is ALOT! I do like 200 pictures a year for christmas, if not more. Tiffany got tested at Sylvan Center over the last weekend. I went to get the results this week and I was blown away by how she tested out. My little girl is in 3rd grade and reads at a 6th grade level. Her math skills blow, 2nd grade level, but I think this is due to her not listening in class. I will be working with her at home now with her math and hopefully by the beginning of the new year (Jan. 1st) I will have made some headway and it will be easier for her. So everyone keeps your fingers crossed for her. A friend of mine gave me an idea to help her learn and keep her mind growing quickly in the ways of math. Tiffany, and us, have started her 3rd grade science project. It is "Household Fire Retardants." It has been a real eye opener for us. Tiffany is learning all about the fire retardants that the firefighters use and the ones in the house. This project should be awesome once finished. I plan on video taping each thing we do. Than we will put them together to present on her portable DVD player.

Life in General

Well This year is just going by so far. It seems like the blink of an eye and October is half way done and over with. I am so glad to be able to spend holidays and special time with my family. Glad for being able to spend more time w/ my father and step-mom and brother this year than in years past. Means a lot to me. Being able to see my brother growing up is just. . . wow, is all I can say. Being able to see my little sissy (kassie) growing up and trying to hard to find her place in this crazy wacky work is awesome too. Luv you guys both so much.

As I am watching my daughter grow up and I see how her little mind is working and maturing and I watch how she sees things and tries to comprehend what is going on. I wonder how she will turn out. What she will decide to do w/ her life. She has so many things in life and she loves to do. And she tries so hard to please everyone, even though she is learning she cant please everyone all the time. This year has just been full of so many things.

Onto another topic.

We are going back to Disneyland this weekend!! We are all sooo excited!! I want to take a family picture there, actually a few family pictures, to use as our Christmas card this year. We have a few shows of Tif and I or Mike and Tif together that were just cute but I want a picture of the three of us. We had so much fun the last time we went we just could not wait to go back, that and we got season passes and want to get our monies worth.

Disneyland!

Well, we decided to go to Disneyland for our vacation this year. It was a blast!

we will be going back in October for another couple days.

Mike got Glasses!

Well, we finally got mike down to the eye place to get checked and they told him he has astigmatism. Instead of his eye being round it is a football shape (that is how they described it). So that day we got him glasses. He can see things better now, obviously, and from a distance he can see better. So all around it is a win-win, and his headaches are going away!

Went to the Beach!

Well, some of our friends decided to have their birthday part at the beach, Aliso Beach. It was fun but man was that beach ruff on the feet! Here are some pictures of our adventure, if you want to see more you can always visit my myspace (musik16).



And she is now in soccer! As soon as she gets back from her grandparents down the hill she will start her practice, w/ her team! She is so excited and so are we! Should be a fun fall season!

The Summer

Well, Tiffany has had a wonderful summer so far. She went to the lake w/ her grandpa and auntie. She came back home looking like a lobster.

It took a couple days to get better but than the first day she could throw a shirt on she was out at the park w/ Daddy and I kicking the soccer ball around.



















Now she is back to herself making pictures and things out of the wierdest things. . . take for instance this 1 gallon ice cream bucket:

4th of July

4th of July - 2008

We have fun over at a friends place, she lives in a mobile home park and they have club houses. So it was like a pool party thing and it was really nice. After it got dark we headed up the road a bit, by foot, and caught the fireworks in Apple Valley. It was really nice outside though, really clear, and we could see the fireworks from Victorville, and we think also Fontana or Big Bear's fireworks. It was an awesome nice and a great party.

We went down the hill on Saturday and picked up my cousin to stay with us and her and Tiffany are having lots of fun painting little sculptures and watching movies, playing games and. . .well just doing girl stuff. While we were down the hill we visited Down Town Disney:

We bought a car!!

Well, that is our new baby. We bought it over the weekend, it is a Pontiac Grand Prix and supercharged :-) It is a 2004, not new but new to us and that is all that matters.
It is sooo much fun to drive.
Next weekend we will be going down the hill to see my parents/family. . . I made a deal w/ mike (since he doesn't like to be a passenger) that I will drive on the way there and he drives on the way back, LOL. Never thought I would be begging to drive a car but this one is just so much fun to drive!!!

The end of Science Camp

Tiffany has been in science camp this week. Now the week is almost over we will be going tomorrow to visit her "camp" and view what she has been doing all week. She has had so much fun. They have built rockets and space ships and . . .well lots of things.

On the home front I am trying new recipes. Cooking with fish, I have found, is fun. Tonight I am making this herb crusted tuna, I cannot wait to eat it!

Interesting Weekend

Well, our car got "broken" into over the weekend. Some idiot came and stole the face plate to our stereo. I got the police report done now, glad that is over with, but now we need to get a new one in there. So I am cruising around with my iPod at my side and some little speakers I picked up for it a few years back. Better than nothing.

Saturday afternoon we took Tiffany to On the Border, a little treat for her being passed from one grade to another. She was really happy and enjoyed it a lot, even though she only got a kid-a-dilla.

Tiffany started Science Camp today. She was so nervous she didn't even wanna let me go. Looks to be less than 50 kids there, so she should have lots of fun and one on one time w/ the teachers and other students. I cannot wait to hear how her first day went!

9 Years Together & Father's Day

Hard to believe it has been 9 years that mike and I have been together. This past Friday 13th, we celebrated our 9th anniversary. We went to Roadhouse Grill and enjoyed a few glasses of ice tea and a nice juicy steak together. It feels like we are closer friends now than we have ever been, and he is my best friend.



Father's day was nice. We made our round of phone calls, and than mike cut a pair of his pants at the knee and jumped in the pool w/ Tif. She was so excited to have Daddy swimming w/ her. It really was alot of fun, I eventually jumped in w/ them and had some fun. Than we had lunch, which was; Teriyaki Salmon, stir-fried veggies, and steamed rice. Than we put Tif down for a nap, and when she woke up we went out to Juice it Up for a nice smoothie, Michael's to look for paint holders (for Tif and her ever growing paint collection), than Big Lots and Home Depot to look for a pool filter. We found the pool filter but now I am looking online for cheeper prices, g'd luck to me.

So that was our weekend, short and sweet. . .to short though. This is Tiffany's last week of school. Tomorrow is a water day at the school. They are going to a field trip to Mojave Narrows and she is really looking forward to it.

June

Well, it is June. It is hot. It is sticky at times, and it is pool weather! Teena bought Tiffany a pool for her birthday and I think it was the best present, one of the best, she has ever gotten. We were in it the other day just splashing around and it was great. Mike is busy with work. I am busy with house work. Not to much new. Summer break is around the corner, though, and I am trying to figure out what we should do!

Where has the time gone?

Well, the first of the year has come and gone and yet it still seems like 2007 to me.
Right now every 28 days our plumbing is backing up, kinda strange and as a friend pointed out our house must have a period, haha, so we are trying to get this situation fixed. Atleast for now we can still use our shower and I am sure tomorrow we will have a plumber come out and fix the situation, but hopefully for good.
Michael went on a Deep Sea fishing trip, don't know why I capped that, and he enjoyed himself. Brought home some fish for us to grill at a later date. Right now we are both wanting to do some grilling, so hopefully soon I will be going out and grabbing some things to throw together on the grill.
Tiffany is really having problems with school right now. Academically she just does not want to focus, and she does not feel like listening to adults. Hoping that soon this will pass as we are doing everything we can think of to remedy this situation.
I have just started on another season on Airsoft and Paintball products for a company we do website work for. I should be busy for a month or so with this.
Also as of late my father has challenged me to lose 25 lbs by June 1st. So far I have lost 2lbs (it has only been half a week so far), and about 3 inches in my waist. I am happy for what I have lost already so quickly.
